Donate Financially A Vermont Tradition for 81 Years For eighty-one years support from concerned people like you has allowed Camp Thorpe to provide camping experiences to Vermont children and adults with special needs. Many families continue to need your support. Camp Thorpe relies upon contributions to cover tuition and operating costs related to providing summer fun for children and adults. Camp Thorpe is a non-profit organization. We are not financially supported by State or Federal agencies. Supporting Independence Over the past several years, the Camp Thorpe Board of Trustees has dedicated itself to renovation projects that are helping to make our facility more attractive and accessible to our campers. As a result of these efforts and support from people like you, our campers are becoming increasingly able to support themselves independently while they are with us. Projects continue into the coming year and therefore your generosity will continue to play a major role. Serving the Special Needs Population Camp Thorpe serves people of all ages who have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, autism, spina bifida, epilepsy and fetal alcohol syndrome to name but a few. For the benefit of children and adults with special needs, will you help this year? Camp Thorpe gives our special campers a chance to succeed through activities including swimming, boating, theater, nature study, music, art, and sports. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of each camper. Particular emphasis is placed upon skill development, socialization, exercise, and emotional growth. During the summer of 2006, over one hundred ninety children and adults who have special needs attended Camp Thorpe. You Can Help Please help continue a Vermont tradition.
